Venturers
Ages 15-18
Meetings
Venturers meet weekly for an evening of youth-driven activities. They plan their own projects, set goals, and take responsibility for shaping their program, with guidance from advisors.
STEM & Projects
Venturers tackle bigger challenges like engineering builds, survival skills, or technology-based projects. Activities test problem-solving and creativity while preparing youth for real-world applications.
Camping & Expeditions
Venturers take part in advanced camps and high-adventure trips, from multi-day canoe expeditions to backcountry hiking and winter treks. These experiences build resilience and outdoor mastery.
Leadership & Growth
Venturers develop leadership by organizing camps, leading fundraisers, and guiding younger sections. These roles build confidence, teamwork, and skills that transfer into school, work, and life.
Community Service
Service is central to Venturing. Youth take on meaningful projects in the community, volunteer at group events, and often mentor Scouts and Cubs, developing responsibility and empathy.
Fundraising & Events
Venturers play a key role in group fundraisers like Apple Day, Christmas Tree sales, and the Fert ’n’ Dirt soil fundraiser. They take on more responsibility, from planning logistics to mentoring younger members.

No One Left Behind
The 56th will not turn away any youth wishing to be a part of Scouting due to financial constraints. Please contact the group if you are in this situation.
